Bois et Fruits opens with a rush of plum and apricot so ripe they feel almost candied, a syrupy sweetness that clings to the skin like the memory of a summer afternoon. The peach and fig soon join in, rounding out the fruit basket with a creamy, lactonic undertone that softens the edges. As it settles, cedar emerges from the base, dry and woody, grounding the sweetness and turning it inward. The dry down is a powdery haze of fruit-scented wood, like the inside of an antique wardrobe that once stored dried apricots and sandalwood sachets.
This is not a loud fragrance. With longevity hovering around three hours and sillage just a notch above subtle, it stays close to the body, a quiet companion rather than a declaration. The sweetness is genuine and slightly synthetic in the best way, a nod to 1990s niche perfumery that never tries to be natural. It feels most at home in spring or fall, especially during the day, when the warmth of the sun can coax out its lactonic fuzz without tipping into cloying.
