Character
The man who reaches for this is already outside. He is halfway down a paved path in a scrub of dry grass and cedar, surrounded by the heat rising off the sidewalk. The fragrance that suits him is not a complicated puzzle. It is a clear, uncluttered feeling of being awake and moving. It fits a Saturday errand or a slow walk through a neighborhood that smells of cut lawns and hot pavement. There is a distinct lack of pretense in the bottle. It does not ask for a suit or a special occasion. It asks for a window rolled down and a plan that involves very little sitting still.
Bergamot and mandarin orange provide the immediate brightness. They are not candied or syrupy. They feel like the white part of the rind, sharp and textured. Mint and lavender sit close to that citrus, creating a cool, herbal counterpoint that keeps the scent from feeling like a glass of juice. It stays clean and slightly bracing.
