Club de Nuit Intense
Fragrance notes
Character
Rose and saffron open Club de Nuit Intense together, warm and a little powdery, with geranium adding a green, slightly minty edge before the composition darkens fast. Nutmeg, pepper, violet and caraway crowd into the heart, spicy and a bit dusty, pushing the rose further from bouquet territory with every passing minute. By the base, patchouli and oud take over entirely, thick, earthy and a little sweet, with vanilla and amber rounding out the edges into something warm, dark and resinous.
This holds on stubbornly once it settles into skin, refusing to thin out quickly. Sillage sits just below a fuller projection, a warm, spiced cloud that surfaces readily for anyone standing or sitting nearby.
Fall and winter are clearly where this performs best, the spice and oud reading as heavy-weather wear, while spring offers a much fainter version of the same idea. Club de Nuit Intense stays dark and resinous throughout, rose used more as a warm accent than as the star of the show, saffron giving that accent a slightly leathery, powdery edge that lingers well after the rest has quieted.
