Bergamot and fig lead the opening with a bright, slightly fruity citrus that feels clean and immediate. Rosemary and sage add an herbal edge, while pimento brings a gentle heat that keeps the start from leaning too sweet. The combination is aromatic and green, moving quickly into a heart where patchouli and lavender take hold. Mint and basil keep the center fresh, but the patchouli adds an earthy depth that grounds the herbs.
The base turns warmer with tonka bean and vanilla providing a soft, rounded sweetness. Sandalwood smooths the drydown and gives it a creamy, woody finish. The vanilla is present but not overwhelming, sitting comfortably alongside the spices and herbs that carry through from the earlier stages. It stays balanced between fresh and warm, with the citrus fading to let the woods and tonka take over.
The herbal and spicy elements are well done, but the vanilla and tonka can feel a bit synthetic compared to the natural impression of the opening greens. The transition between the fresh top and the sweet base is not always seamless, and the mid section can feel slightly crowded with competing notes. It is a pleasant wear, though the blending does not always feel fully resolved.
