Caissa
Fragrance notes
Character
Caissa’s opening can feel crowded. Fougassette, black licorice, pink pepper, and cardamom arrive with a busy, spicy-sweet push, giving the first spray a slightly tangled texture. A few minutes of settling bring more shape: gardenia and Egyptian jasmine smooth the edges, while Madagascar ylang-ylang adds a creamy yellow-floral tone. The effect is plush and aromatic, with a soft lactonic undercurrent that makes the florals feel rounded.
The base has long-lasting staying power, and Ambrocenide gives the drydown a firm woody-amber frame. Musk softens that structure, while cacao leaves a gentle edible shade without turning the perfume into a sugary confection. Caissa’s one vivid picture is a white blouse draped over a chair beside a bowl of spiced cacao, polished fabric meeting a warm, slightly playful scent.
Its sillage forms a modest bubble, so the fragrance feels easy to place in close company, at a desk, or over a meal. Spring brings out its airy floral side, though the warm spice and musky base also suit summer, autumn, and winter. The generous gardenia and ylang-ylang make it a good choice for someone who enjoys expressive white florals with texture. Those who prefer sheer, quiet florals may find the opening too layered, while fans of cardamom, licorice, and creamy floral blends will have plenty to explore as Caissa settles.
