Elixir Perfume Extrait
Fragrance notes
Character
Elixir Perfume Extrait opens with a bright rose that sits beside the smooth, resinous touch of copaiba balm. The rose carries a natural petal texture rather than a candied sweetness, and the balm gives it an immediate warmth that prevents the start from feeling sharp. This is a direct, clear opening that places the flower at the front without distraction.
The heart moves into labdanum, cade oil, and cypriol. Labdanum adds a heavy amber resin that thickens the texture, while cade oil brings a dry, smoky wood edge. Cypriol grounds the blend with an earthy, root-like depth. Together they create a dense, animalic core that feels dark and enclosed, suited to a room lit only by low lamps and filled with quiet conversation.
The base rests on Laotian oud, gurjan balsam, and amber. The oud is prominent and woody with a distinct barnyard character that will feel too aggressive for those who prefer clean, polished compositions. Gurjan balsam and amber wrap the oud in a balsamic sweetness, but they do not soften the challenging animalic presence. The result is a bold, unapologetic fragrance that demands tolerance for heavy resin and strong oud.
