Our take

Torino23 opens with a brisk citrus snap, bergamot zinging through a powdery rose and a warm twist of nutmeg and cardamom. The spices here are restrained, more like a distant echo than a declaration. Within minutes, the white florals take over, and this is where the fragrance reveals its true nature. Tuberose and ylang-ylang dominate, creamy and indolic, with jasmine adding a honeyed shimmer and neroli cutting through with a soapy green edge. It smells expensive, but also slightly heavy for a spring day, like a white floral bouquet trapped in a too-warm conservatory. The dry down settles into a soft musk and cashmere wood base, with cedar and patchouli lending a dry, almost papery texture. The amber keeps things sweet, but never syrupy.

The overall impression is that of a freshly ironed linen shirt, still warm, that has been left near a vase of tuberoses and a bowl of citrus peel. It feels polished and deliberately niche, but the performance numbers tell a more modest story. With a 3.24 sillage and 3.80 longevity, Torino23 stays close to the skin after the first hour, which is disappointing for the price point. It is best suited for a spring brunch or a daytime garden wedding, where its white floral elegance can shine without demanding attention. Skip it if you want a beast mode or anything remotely dark and woody, the patchouli here is practically apologetic. And honestly, is that fleeting cashmere note really worth the investment?
