Eau de Lacoste White starts clean, grapefruit and rosemary up front with cardamom adding a faint spiced edge, before ylang-ylang and tuberose bring in a soft, slightly animalic floral heart underneath the citrus, felt as much as smelled directly, a soft presence rather than a distinct floral moment. Suede, vetiver, and Virginia cedar take over by the base, dry and quiet against the brighter top, the leather arriving last of all. The cedar is what stays longest once everything else has faded, dry and quiet, wood shavings standing in for what was leather at the start. Longevity wears at an easy, in-between pace, and the sillage stays private, worn for yourself more than for anyone standing nearby.
Spring and summer mornings are its best setting, especially with the grapefruit doing the early work, and fans of clean, citrus-forward masculines will recognize the appeal immediately. The tuberose is the surprise here, floral but never sweet, a single soft note tucked between the citrus and the leather. What remains after the citrus burns off is suede gone soft and pale, like a glove worn thin at the fingertips.
