Our take

It opens with a brisk bergamot spritz, all citrus flash and no sugar, the kind of polite hello that gets out of your way fast. Then the clary sage steps in, herbal and slightly fuzzy, like crushed leaves on a cool pavement, before the leather takes over. And this is not a rich Tuscan saddle leather. This is the inside of a brand new jacket, stiff and synthetic, with a faint animalic warmth that never fully blooms into anything feral. It stays soft, almost powdery, with a smoky ghost that lingers but refuses to commit.

The whole thing feels like a quiet ride home at 2 a.m. with the windows down, the heater off, and nothing but the thrum of the engine and the smell of tar and old upholstery. It is a bargain basement leather, yes, but intentionally so. It is not trying to impress anyone. The longevity is short, around four hours, and the projection sits close to the skin, which makes it ideal for a dinner shift or an afternoon in a bookshop where you want to be noticed only by those who lean in. It works best in cold air, winter and fall, when the dryness of the leather cuts through the chill without screaming for attention.

Who should wear it? The guy who owns one leather jacket and wears it everywhere, the one who knows he smells like a decision not a splurge. Skip it if you crave depth, longevity, or a sweaty animalic punch. This is clean leather, restrained and a little lonely. It has its place, but it asks you to come closer than most are willing to.
