Our take

Cabotine throws an enormous bouquet at you, tuberose, hyacinth, carnation, jasmine, ylang-ylang, rose, freesia, iris, heliotrope, and violet all crowded into the heart, and somehow does not collapse under its own weight.

Coriander, orange blossom, cassia, black currant, plum, tangerine, and peach open things on a green, fruity note before the white florals take over, tuberose loudest among them. Civet in the base gives the whole composition an animalic, slightly furry undertone beneath the sandalwood, cedar, amber, and vanilla, adding weight and shadow to what could otherwise be a simple bouquet of cut flowers.

Projection is anything but shy: people register it before you have finished saying hello, a wide, confident spread rather than a shy one, and the staying power matches that confidence, the fruity opening long gone by the time the florals and civet are still working.

Someone sensitive to civet or heavy white florals may find it a lot to take on, and that is worth knowing going in. Outdoor daylight and cooler air bring out its best side, giving the green, fruity opening something to play against. The civet is what gives Cabotine its bite, the element that separates it from just another pretty floral bouquet.
