Our take

Ferocity opens with a bright spray of orange and lemon that cuts through the cool, resinous snap of fir. The citrus feels sharp and clean rather than sweet, and the fir keeps it from leaning into a sunny summer vibe. As it develops, lily-of-the-valley and jasmine rise alongside rose, but the herbs quickly take charge. Sage and rosemary bring a dry, slightly dusty green edge that pushes the florals into the background. The heart sits in that space between a garden and a spice rack, aromatic and a little stern. Brazilian rosewood and sandalwood form a smooth, polished wood core in the base, while oakmoss and vetiver add an earthy, damp depth. Musk rounds it out with a soft, powdery finish that clings to the skin.

The marine accord in the background is the one element that feels slightly out of place. It gives the fragrance a faint synthetic ripple that does not fully blend with the natural weight of the woods and herbs. People who enjoy a crisp, herbal citrus built on a serious woody foundation will find a lot to like here. It suits someone who wants to smell put together and traditional without reaching for something overly formal. It works well in spring and early autumn, and it fits an office setting or a weekend outdoors. The marine note can distract from the otherwise cohesive drydown.
