The opening feels crowded. Fir, cardamom, lemon, petitgrain, and orange all arrive at once, and the citrus fights the resin instead of supporting it. The result is a little sharp and unfocused at first, as if the composition is trying to name every tree and fruit in the same breath. It takes patience before the pieces stop bumping into each other and start to settle into a shape you can actually wear.
Once the heart emerges, lily-of-the-valley and jasmine soften the edges while sage and rosemary keep the air moving. The floral side stays clean rather than lush, and the herbs prevent it from leaning powdery. Brazilian rosewood and vetiver anchor the base with a dry, woody floor, and oakmoss adds a shaded green touch that keeps the musk from feeling too smooth.
