Fragrance notes
Green Irish Tweed opens on iris and vervain, a cool, slightly bitter green pairing that sets the tone immediately and does not waver from it. Violet leaf carries the heart, soft and slightly powdery, and the whole thing stays remarkably restrained for a composition built on ambergris and sandalwood. Those two base notes bring warmth without ever turning heavy or resinous, and the ozonic, aquatic edge in the accords keeps the greenness feeling like wet grass instead of a garden in bloom.
A faint animalic thread runs underneath the amber and balsamic base, adding a touch of warmth beneath all that transparency and green air. Composed by Olivier Creed and Pierre Bourdon, it belongs to a small family of fragrances built almost entirely on restraint, where quiet detail does more work than volume ever could manage on its own.
It stays quiet, green and slightly aquatic from start to finish, never once raising its voice above a murmur. The animalic base never turns bold or heavy, holding that same restraint all the way through its development from opening to close.
