Gryffindor™ Parfum
Fragrance notes
Character
Someone walks into a candlelit room wearing a blazer with gold embroidery and a scent that feels like a velvet curtain drawn shut. Gryffindor™ Parfum by House Of Sillage sits on skin like a dark, powdered flower arrangement placed on a mahogany table. The black currant blossom and tea leaf open the door with a leafy fruitiness that feels more refined than sweet. Black pepper adds a sharp little bite that keeps the entrance from feeling too soft.
The heart settles into orris and dahlia, creating a powdery floral core that leans heavily on that iris accord. Ambroxan gives the middle a modern, slightly synthetic lift that pushes the flowers into a cleaner space. Beneath it all, Indonesian patchouli leaf and Madagascar vanilla ground the blend with a woody, musky weight. It smells like a portrait gallery at night, polished and still.
The composition stays elegant, but the vanilla and musk eventually blur the edges until the distinct petals and spice fade into a generic warm haze. It loses its specific character as the hours pass, becoming a pleasant but forgettable cloud. The orris and dahlia deserve more room to breathe than the base allows. It is a beautiful entrance that slowly forgets its own details.
