Our take

A low table covered in heavy ceramic and dense smoke. The room is not loud, but it is full. Someone is burning frankincense in a corner, and the scent does not stay in the corner. It spreads through the air the way heat does, slow and heavy, until it touches everything in the room. Coconut is present, but it does not smell like a beach. It smells like the dry, dense part of the fruit, the part that feels more like wood than like food. Labdanum sits in the background, giving the air a thick, amber weight. The wood here is not a forest. It is a floor, a beam, a carved surface that has been in the sun for years. Bergamot is there, but it does not sparkle. It smells like the peel after the juice is gone, bitter and dry. Then the oud arrives. It does not announce itself. It fills the space the way a voice does when a room goes quiet, not because it is loud, but because everything else has made room for it. Cedar and patchouli hold the edges. Nothing here is clean. Nothing is neat. It smells like a place where people stay up late and do not explain themselves. A glass is set down. The smoke shifts. The oud is still there, and the room feels different because of it.
