Champs Elysees suits a wearer who wants a bouquet, not a single note wearing thin quickly. Melon, peach and almond open sweet and a little green, cut by black currant and anise so it doesn't turn candied right away.
The heart is enormous: mimosa, lilac, lily of the valley, peony, rose, almond blossom and hibiscus all crowd in together, a genuinely old-school maximalist floral bouquet rather than a modern single-note composition. Almond keeps threading through both the top and the heart, and that repetition is what ties the whole middle section together as one bouquet.
Vanilla, almond tree, sandalwood, benzoin and cedar settle underneath and give the drydown real staying power, warm and a touch powdery by the end without losing its shape. The sillage stays in a small orbit around you, present without ever getting loud.
