Our take

Raspberry and red berries open thick and jammy, tart enough to avoid feeling like candy, with bergamot and lemon cutting a bright line through the fruit. It is a loud, confident opening, more crushed berries than delicate fruit. Violet and rose take over the heart and turn noticeably powdery, orange blossom adding a lighter, whiter note underneath the two heavier flowers. Insolence turns a little aggressive here: the violet is not soft or shy, it comes on thick and synthetic-smelling, like violet candy, not the smell of fresh petals off a plant.

Iris, tonka bean, resins, musk and sandalwood close things out, and the drydown is warmer and softer than either the fruit or the violet prepared you for. Tonka bean brings a soft, slightly hay-like sweetness, resins add a warm amber-adjacent glow, and sandalwood smooths the iris into something creamy rather than powdery. It refuses to thin out quickly, and it has real reach without shouting, the kind of presence people notice before you say anything. Fall and winter carry it best, and its intensity works just as well in the evening as during the day. This is a fragrance built for confidence: fruity and powdery-sweet at the start, resinous and warm by the end, with no attempt anywhere in it to be polite or restrained.
