Our take

Cherry and almond open together, a marzipan sweetness that lavender and rosemary immediately sharpen with something greener and more herbal. Guerlain, working here with Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk, lets that push and pull carry the whole composition rather than settling into one lane early. By the heart, incense and Bulgarian rose bring a dry, almost dusty note under the fruit, and vanilla stops feeling like a topping and starts acting as scaffolding. Tonka bean and sandalwood round out the base, but leather is the note doing the real work, giving the sweetness grain and shadow, like a jacket worn through a whole winter.

On skin it sticks around well and stays modest in throw, a small warm cloud that the person beside you will catch before anyone further off does. It leans hard toward fall and winter, when cold air seems to hold spice and leather close, and suits an evening far more than midday light. Thyme and rosemary keep resurfacing even late, an herbal thread that stops the whole thing turning purely sweet, so cherry and vanilla never fully take over.
