CK IN2U for Him
Fragrance notes
Character
The cacao pod that is supposed to set CK IN2U for Him apart barely gets a word in. Lemon and tomato leaf open sharp and green, more vegetable garden than citrus stand, and by the time the cacao pod should be taking over at the heart, it arrives as a faint powdery warmth rather than anything resembling chocolate.
Cedar, white musk and vetiver carry the base, clean and a little dry, and this is really the fragrance's core identity: a soft, musky woodiness with almost no sweetness left from the cacao. The whole build stays understated from start to finish, closer to a clean laundry musk with a green edge than to anything gourmand.
Sillage all but stays under your clothes, a private trace that a passerby is unlikely to ever pick up on. Staying power is thin here too, the fragrance fading quickly and leaving very little trace behind once it settles. It works as a quiet, inoffensive daytime scent for the office, easy to layer under a shirt without announcing itself, but anyone hoping for the cacao pod on the label to actually taste like chocolate will be disappointed.
