Aromatik
Fragrance notes
Character
Aromatik opens with a brisk mix of basil, mint and grapefruit. The citrus is sharp and the herbs are cool, giving the first minutes a clean, upright character. Violet leaf and clary sage follow, joined by thyme. The green tone stays present while the herbs turn slightly dusty. The heart feels dry rather than lush, with the sage leading the way and the violet leaf adding a faintly leafy edge.
The base carries more weight. Ambroxan brings a smooth amber presence that sits under the remaining herbs. Patchouli adds an earthy depth, and vetiver contributes a dry, rooty finish. The aromatic theme continues, but the freshness fades and the materials become heavier. The amber accord grows steady while the green notes retreat into the background.
The blend stays on the dry side throughout. The herbs never turn sweet, and the amber does not soften the edges. The patchouli can feel a bit flat against the ambroxan, and the vetiver lacks sharp definition. The result is competent but not distinctive, and the drydown does not develop much beyond its initial impression.
