BENGAL opens with pineapple and apricot brightened by cedar. The fruit reads juicy rather than candy-like, and the cedar adds a dry edge that keeps the start from leaning fully sweet. It moves forward quickly, giving way to the heart notes without lingering too long on the surface.
Vanilla bean and frangipani form the center, with hyacinth adding a green lift. The vanilla feels smooth and rounded, while the frangipani brings a soft floral warmth. Hyacinth keeps the blend from becoming heavy, letting the floral side sit comfortably next to the fruit that remains from the opening.
Sandalwood and amber lead the drydown, supported by tea, oud, and cashmeran. The sandalwood is creamy, the amber warm and resinous. Tea adds a faint crispness that stops the base from feeling too dense. Oud gives a dark, woody depth, and cashmeran wraps the mix in a powdery, slightly synthetic softness that defines the final impression.
The powdery accord grows stronger as the scent settles, and on some skin it begins to overshadow the fruit and the florals. The synthetic edge in the base may not appeal to those who prefer a more natural wood profile. It fits a cool morning walk or a quiet indoor evening in crisp air, but the balance tilts heavily toward the base, leaving the brighter notes with little room to breathe.
