Faizal Patel and Rajesh Balkrishnan created a composition that uses Bulgarian rose and jasmine sambac not as a soft bouquet, but as a bright, slightly metallic surface that sits above something much heavier. The aldehydes give the opening a crisp, sparkling lift that keeps the cannabis and saffron from feeling muddy. It is a scent that demands attention through contrast rather than sheer weight, pairing a fresh, aromatic top with a heart that feels dense and indulgent.
The argument for wearing this rests on how the coffee and Madagascar vanilla interact with the tobacco and Vietnamese oud in the base. This is not a sweet gourmand. The coffee adds a bitter, roasted edge that cuts through the vanilla, while the oud provides a dry, woody foundation that anchors the entire structure.
