Our take

The sugar in the base leans hard, and in the wrong air it reads more like confectioner’s dust than a cocktail garnish. A careless hand with the sweetness risks tipping the whole composition into a candy jar, especially when the air is warm and the light is bright.

Lime and caipirinha hit first, sharp and cold against the skin, with petitgrain adding a leafy green edge. Geranium and rose push through quickly, soft and slightly powdery, while cypriol and jasmine keep the florals from floating away. Oud sits low with guaiac wood and cashmeran, giving the fruit a resinous floor to rest on, and musk blurs the edges so the sugar does not scratch.

Wear it to a long outdoor lunch where glasses clink and the table is crowded with citrus slices and herbs. Someone who enjoys a bold floral wood that is not afraid of sugar will feel at home here, especially when the sun is high and the air carries the scent of cut grass and cold drinks.
