Character
The sun sits low over a courtyard where terracotta tiles still hold the day's warmth. A man leans against a stone pillar, sleeves rolled, watching the light hit the rim of a glass. Around him the air carries the bright snap of mandarin orange and petitgrain, softened by the dark smear of black currant. Cypriol pushes through with a dry, mineral edge that keeps the opening from feeling like a sweet drink. It smells like a city at the edge of evening, where the air is still active but beginning to settle.
Patchouli and cashmeran arrive as the conversation shifts, adding a smooth, resinous weight that feels like fabric against skin. A thread of caramel moves through the heart, not sugary but rounded, as if a wooden table has been polished with something faintly sweet. Vetiver and oud anchor the scene with a woody, earthy presence, while leather and amber give the air a tactile, animalic warmth. Labdanum binds the base together so the scent feels continuous rather than layered, each note present rather than arriving in turn.
The courtyard fills with voices and the clink of glasses, and the fragrance stays in the space between people, mixing with the scent of stone and dry air, the citrus now a memory beneath the heavier notes that keep drawing attention to the way the evening
