Our take

You get a sharp citrus blast with Champion Energy, bergamot and grapefruit snapping open like a cold can of something caffeinated. That initial brightness is almost synthetic in its clarity, a gym-floor fluorescent buzz. The spices and galbanum slide in quickly, adding a green, slightly bitter edge that keeps the sweetness in check. Underneath, oakmoss and Virginia cedar give it a woody, barbershop-style base that feels unexpectedly grounded after the fizzy top. This is a scent that lives and dies in the heat. It is thin, aquatic in texture, and evaporates fast. The numbers bear that out: longevity is a weak 2.86, sillage barely a whisper at 2.52. You are not getting four hours without a reapply, and don’t expect anyone to smell you from across the room.

The overall character is that of a cold towel snapped at the nape of your neck after a sprint. It is undeniably mainstream, designed for the guy who wants to smell fresh without smelling like he tried. It suits the active, the young, the casual. Skip it if you crave depth, leather, or any warmth. Wear it only in high summer, to the gym or a beach barbecue, anywhere the air is thick enough to swallow its modest reach. It does exactly what it says on the bottle: gives you a quick, bright, energetic moment. Just don’t expect it to last through the second quarter.
