Our take

Clash opens with a jolt of star fruit and metallic aldehydes, like cracking open a can of carbonated seawater under fluorescent lights. The timur pepper adds a prickly, almost electric freshness that keeps the marine notes from drifting into generic blue territory. Quickly, lavender and sage cut through the synthetic gleam, grounding it with a barbershop crispness that feels surprisingly grown-up for a scent this loud at first spray. The drydown is where Clash shows its hand: cashmeran and cedar softened by moss and a puff of coumarin, a woody base that tries to anchor the whole thing but can’t quite hold on for long.

This fragrance is a fresh, aromatic aquatic that lives entirely in the first hour. After that, it becomes a faint whisper of metallic lavender and vetiver, barely making it past two hours on skin. The projection is polite to the point of invisibility, a shame given how interesting that opening riff of sour fruit and cool metal really is. It feels more like a concept than a full composition, like a citrusy splash designed to evaporate before you leave the house. Who is it for? The guy who wants a bright, synthetic daytime rush for spring or summer mornings, something to wear to the office or a brunch where he doesn’t intend to linger. Skip it if you need a fragrance to last through dinner or command a room. Clash is a spark, not a fire.
