Our take

Dot is built for the kind of day that starts with sunscreen and ends with a popsicle. Marc Jacobs leans hard into red berries, pitahaya and honeysuckle up top, a fruit-stand burst that is more playful than sophisticated, and it never really apologizes for that. Coconut and jasmine take over in the heart, with orange blossom adding a lighter, greener sweetness so the fruit doesn't sit as one flat, syrupy note, and the whole thing stays fresh and tropical rather than heavy or dense.

Driftwood, musk and vanilla settle underneath, but they stay quiet, letting the fruity white floral lead from open to close. Staying power is average at best, and the fragrance stays close to the body, more of a personal accessory than a statement that carries far. That makes Dot a fit for a light, cheerful daytime look in spring and summer, poolside afternoons or errands around town, and a poor match for anyone chasing depth or a fragrance with real presence. For what it sets out to be, sweet, sunny and uncomplicated, it does the job well.
