Our take

Lola opens with pink pepper and grapefruit brushing against a soft pear, sweet without turning sticky. The pink pepper gives it a warm, slightly spicy prickle, and the whole thing feels more grown-up than the pink bottle suggests. A rose and peony heart keeps things classic, not candy-bright.

Geranium threads through the middle, giving the florals a slightly green, herbal lift so the rose never turns purely powdery, and peony adds a soft, papery texture underneath it. Vanilla, musk and tonka bean settle in at the base, warm and soft, comfortable rather than showy, without pushing the composition toward real gourmand sweetness. Staying power holds to a fair, middling pace, present without asking for much attention, and the sillage forms a small, personal cloud, easily picked up by whoever stands near.

Fall is where Lola feels most at home, with spring and winter both workable and summer better left alone, the fruit and rose losing shape in real heat. It suits an office day just as well as a dinner. The composition settles fast into one soft, familiar note, with less to discover over time than the long list of ingredients implies, but the rose and pear stay legible throughout, an easy fruity floral that never turns cloying.
