Eclat de Cuivre opens with incense and Calabrian bergamot joined by grapefruit. The citrus is bright and the resin is dry, and the two move together from the first moment. Elemi resin and cardamom follow, with lavender lending a clean edge to the spice. The heart feels aromatic and composed, never sharp, and the materials sit close without thinning out.
The base brings tolu balsam, white cedar extract, white amber, patchouli and vanilla. The balsam and amber give a rounded warmth, while cedar and patchouli keep the texture dry and faintly powdery. The vanilla is present but restrained, supporting the resin rather than leading it. The scent stays near the body and maintains a steady presence through an evening indoors, fitting a cold night when the air is still.
The overall character is amber, warm spicy and balsamic, with woody and aromatic facets carrying through. It feels suited to a quiet dinner or a low lit room where the air is cool. The lavender and citrus fade gradually, leaving the resin and wood to carry the rest. The finish rests on patchouli and vanilla.
