Our take

Enigma is a fragrance for the person who wants white flowers without the cheerful brightness that usually comes with them. The opening pairs agave and orange blossom, but the agave pulls the citrus into something drier and more architectural than a typical spring bouquet. It does not greet the room with a smile. It arrives with a composed face and a clear sense of its own weight.

Tuberose and iris take over quickly, and the cardamom gives them a warm lift that keeps the heart from settling into a flat powder. The tuberose here is thick and slightly animalic, leaning into the green edge that sits in the background of the record. Iris smooths the surface without cooling it down, so the middle feels like a heavy cream that has been dusted with spice rather than a light floral arrangement.

Sandalwood and cedar anchor the blend, with musk wrapping the woods into a finish that feels close and personal. The wood is not sharp. It reads as a warm shell that holds the floral density in place while the spice lingers at the edges. There is a clear line from the dry opening to this base, and the materials never drift into a generic softness that would make the composition forgettable.

Picture a heavy wool coat thrown over a silk dress while the air is cool enough to make the fabric feel necessary. The flowers belong in that moment, surrounded by wood and spice, because the temperature gives their weight a reason to exist and the dry green edge keeps the whole image from becoming too lush.
