Eros
Fragrance notes
Character
MYSU Perfume positions Eros as a spicy aromatic built for both women and men. The opening hits with cinnamon, saffron, and pepper, a warm and pungent trio that feels immediate and assertive. It does not creep in softly. The spices are dry and dusty rather than sweet at first, giving the fragrance a bold first impression that leans into its warm spicy accord without apology.
Grapefruit and rose arrive in the heart to lift that heavy start. The citrus adds a bright edge that keeps the pepper from feeling too aggressive, while the rose lends a soft floral layer that rounds out the sharper edges. It is a classic contrast, though the rose here sits closer to a decorative accent than a true focal point.
The base settles into patchouli, vanilla, and oud. The vanilla tries to smooth the rough texture of the oud, but the woods and patchouli maintain a firm, earthy presence. The overall profile is rich and resinous, matching the woody and fresh spicy accords that define its character. It feels substantial and leans into a niche aesthetic rather than a mass-market clean vibe.
Eros has a clear identity, but the vanilla and oud combination lacks refinement. The blend feels slightly synthetic, and the notes do not always melt together seamlessly. The rose also disappears faster than expected, leaving the spices and woods to carry more weight than the balance intended.
