Red wine and tolu balsam sit at the center, soft and resinous. Patchouli brings a damp, earthy weight that grounds the fruit. Cedar offers a dry, polished wood facet that keeps the heart from feeling too syrupy. Brown sugar and caramel create a thick, sticky sweetness in the base. Vanilla smooths the edges of the leather, which feels worn and slightly animalic. Liquor notes add a warm, boozy haze that blends into the amber accord. The sweetness is heavy here, clinging to the skin like a thick syrup. Leather and patchouli prevent the drydown from becoming a pure dessert. The brown sugar and caramel feel slightly synthetic, but the leather gives them a rugged backdrop.
