Hercule
Fragrance notes
Character
Hercule opens with a sharp lemon slice cutting through a thick wedge of coconut. The citrus is bright and brief, giving way to a heart that feels like walking past a carnival stall after sunset. Strawberry and cotton candy swirl together, creating a sugary cloud that sits heavy in the air.
Composed by Lucky Armstrong and launched in 2022, this oriental woody blend leans fully into its sweet accords. The amber and vanilla here are warm and powdery, wrapping the fruity top notes in a blanket of resin. It feels like a dessert meant for a dimly lit lounge rather than a bright afternoon picnic.
Smoke from the incense note curls through the base, adding a dark, woody edge to the amberwood. This prevents the composition from becoming pure sugar, though the synthetic edge of the strawberry remains prominent throughout the wear. It is a bold statement that embraces its gourmand roots completely.
The limitation is the synthetic quality of the candied notes, which can feel a bit plastic against the natural lemon. While the smoke tries to ground the scent, the artificial fruitiness might be too much for those seeking a refined gourmand.
