Il Azzurro
Fragrance notes
Character
The opening is a bowl of sliced pear, apple and peach, each piece still cool from the fridge. Green leaves sit beside them, not crushed, just placed there for a clean smell. Violet and iris arrive early and turn the fruit powdery. The fruit does not stay bright. It settles into a soft dust that covers the sharper edges.
Sandalwood gives the powder a smooth surface. Jasmine adds a white floral lift that keeps the heart from feeling flat. Musk and amber sit underneath, warm and steady. The blend feels composed for a quiet street after rain, when the air is cool and the pavement is dark. It fits a heavy coat and a slow walk, not a bright room full of people.
The fruit notes lack definition. Pear, apple and peach blur into one sweet mass, so the top feels generic. The powdery accord dominates every stage and leaves little room for the wood to show its own shape. If you want a clear line between each note, this will feel too smooth.
