Incenso e Frangipane
Fragrance notes
Character
Someone wraps a scarf around their neck and steps out into the cold air. The streetlights reflect off damp pavement and the evening feels quiet. This is the kind of walk where a fragrance sits close to the skin and moves with the body. It fits a person who wants to feel dressed even when the coat hides everything else.
Orange blossom and neroli open the composition with a bright and clean citrus tone. Frangipani and yellow narcissus bring a thick tropical creaminess that feels heavy for a flower. Iris adds a soft powder that tries to keep the heart from becoming too lush. The floral side is loud and unapologetic here.
Kyara incense and patchouli ground the base with a dark and woody smoke. Amber and ylang-ylang turn the drydown sweet and slightly milky. The lactonic quality gives the impression of a rich dessert that has been burned slightly at the edges. It is an oriental style that feels dense and expensive on the skin.
Massimiliano Torti composed a scent that demands attention but it is not for everyone. The sweetness combined with the heavy white flowers can feel cloying to those who prefer clean lines. It lacks the fresh lift that makes a tropical scent wearable in lighter contexts. The heavy amber may overwhelm a nose that seeks subtlety.
