Incensum
Fragrance notes
Character
A heavy wooden door shuts out the evening air, leaving only the quiet heat of a stone chapel lit by a few hand-poured candles. Solstice Scents Incensum lives in this exact space, where the air is thick with crushed resins and the dry, reverent weight of old incense. Frankincense and copal rise first, not sharp but rounded, softened by the golden warmth of amber and the quiet depth of labdanum and myrrh. Jatamansi and palo santo add a clean, rooty clarity that keeps the balsamic richness from turning heavy, while saffron and rose lend a faint, dusty floral glow. Clove, cardamom and nutmeg move through the resins like embers shifting in a brazier, their heat balanced by the dry woods of sandalwood, vetiver and oud. On skin the perfume feels close and contemplative, more intimate than grand, as if the wearer carries a small altar wherever they stand. It asks for patience and rewards it with a composition that feels ancient, meditative and entirely unrushed, a resinous haze that clings to wool and linen alike, refusing to be hurried
