Our take

La Diva arrives with a sticky burst of raspberry and pear, the fruit so ripe it almost bruises, while pink pepper adds a sparkle that keeps it from being outright jammy. The heart blooms into a gardenia and jasmine accord that is decidedly floral, but the quince injects a tart, almost metallic edge, like a green apple that never quite ripened. As it dries down, the honeyed vanilla and patchouli wrap everything in a syrupy, slightly dusty warmth. The overall impression is of a sequined gown left overnight in a dressing room, glamorous but a little stale and synthetic around the edges. This is a fruity floral gourmand that leans mainstream, heavy on the sweetness, and the numbers back it up: moderate longevity and sillage that stay close to the skin after the first hour. It works best in spring and fall, and for daytime it feels obvious rather than effortless. La Diva suits someone who wants a loud, unmistakably sweet entrance and doesn’t mind that the dry down can turn a little cloying on humid skin. Skip it if you prefer airy florals or dry woody scents, because this one never stops asking for your attention, even when you wish it would pull back.
