Our take

MOLÉCULE is not an easy reach for anyone expecting a bright, uplifting daily wear. The opening hits hard with patchouli and cedar, creating a dry, resinous wall that can feel heavy before the fragrance has settled. There is a bitterness in those first minutes that some will find abrasive rather than intriguing, and the transition into the heart does little to soften the edges. Jasmine and myrrh add a faint floral lift, but amber pulls the composition back into a dense, balsamic warmth that stays close to the skin in mood if not in reach.

The drydown leans fully into its oriental woody character. Tonka bean and vetiver anchor the base alongside oud, producing a scent that is earthy, sweet, and deeply aromatic. It smells expensive in a way that demands quiet surroundings and a slower pace. The blend feels more suited to a curated niche wardrobe than to casual, high-activity days, and the intensity of the patchouli makes it a poor match for hot weather or crowded indoor spaces where subtlety matters.

Wear this when the goal is to feel grounded and composed in cool air, preferably in the evening or during a quiet weekend. It fits someone who enjoys resinous woods and does not mind a fragrance that makes no attempt to charm on first contact.
