Dry down is all resinous sweetness, tolu balsam and styrax turning the composition into a sticky, ambered cough drop left to melt inside a leather jacket pocket. This is not a crisp cocktail. It is a worn armchair in a paneled library, the upholstery soaked with spilled Old Fashioned and wood polish, half cloying, half comforting.

The character is heavily sweet and balsamic, with a warmth that borders on medicinal thanks to immortelle’s curry-like twang. It feels natural and niche, but not challengingly so, more like a designer scent drenched in honey and resins. The official numbers tell the honest story: longevity barely tickles 3.38 and sillage limps at 2.69, so you get an intimate, skin-hugging hum that vanishes faster than you want it to. That is the real weakness. For the price of a By Kilian, you deserve more staying power, especially given how dense the materials read up close.

Skip it if you prefer fresh or airy scents, or if you are looking for a true booze bomb. Wear it for a rainy afternoon whiskey tasting, a cozy dinner date in November, or an evening walk through fallen leaves when you want to feel wrapped in something sticky and nostalgic. One whiff and you can already taste the cherry from the bottom of the glass.
