Our take

Onika bursts open with a juicy slap of star fruit and pear, all sharp tropical citrus and barely ripe sweetness. The mandarin orange adds a zesty sparkle that feels like a canned fruit cocktail spilled on a hot sidewalk. As it settles, the heart turns floral but not powdery: water lily and osmanthus float like a vague aquatic bouquet, while orchid tries to lend some depth but gets drowned out. The drydown is sugar cane and white musk, a syrupy, laundry-detergent clean fade that promises vanilla but delivers only a flat, synthetic fuzz. Cedar is barely a whisper.

The overall character is a cheap plastic purse filled with Jolly Ranchers and left in the sun it smells bright, sticky, and synthetic, like a summer carnival where the cotton candy machine is about to break. It is aggressively mainstream and sweet, with no pretense of complexity. The longevity is a cruel joke at under three hours, and the sillage barely reaches your own nose. This is a body mist masquerading as a perfume.

Wear it to a beach day when you want to smell like a piña colada for an hour, or spritz it before a quick trip to the grocery store. It suits a teenager who loves candy florals and doesn't care about projection. Skip it if you want to be smelled past arm's length, or if you prefer your sweetness to have a backbone. 96 percent of voters say summer, and they are right. This is a flash of heat and then nothing.
