Our take

Oshi by Bi-es asks a lot of patience from anyone who wants a bold statement. The opening arrives with a sharp pepper bite that feels almost abrasive next to the litchi and freesia, and the peony does not soften the edges quickly enough. It takes time for the spiciness to settle, and during those first minutes the composition can feel disjointed rather than complex. The pepper lingers longer than expected, making the early wear a little restless for those who prefer an immediate harmony.

Once the heart unfolds, lily-of-the-valley and magnolia bring a clean, dewy brightness that suits a morning walk through a garden after rain, when the air is cool but the sun is already warming the pavement. Violet root adds an earthy depth that keeps the florals from floating away completely. The base stays close to the skin with cedar and white musk, leaving a powdery, woody trace that feels tidy and unassuming. It is a fragrance for someone who enjoys a fresh, floral day but does not mind a prickly start, and the way the magnolia sits against the cedar makes you want to keep
