Our take

Philosykos opens with a burst of green fig leaf, sharp and almost milky, the fruit itself hanging somewhere between sweet and vegetal. Olivia Giacobetti captures the fig tree in its entirety, not just the ripe pulp but the sap, the dusty leaves, the shade beneath the branches. As it develops, the woody notes and a whisper of black pepper ground the lactonic softness into something more earthy, though the heart remains stubbornly true to that singular fig tree note. The overall character is like standing shirtless under a Mediterranean fig tree at midday, the fruit splitting open on your tongue while the crushed leaves stain your fingers green. It feels natural, almost artlessly so, a niche creation that refuses to shout. But here is the honest weakness: with a longevity of 2.81 and sillage of 2.42, this fragrance fades into a private skin scent within a couple of hours. You will need to reapply or press your nose to your wrist to catch its tender ghost. This is not a fragrance for those who demand projection or all-day presence. It suits the introspective soul, the person who wears scent for themselves, not for the room. Skip it if you want to be noticed from across a table. Wear it on a warm spring afternoon, or in the thick of summer when the heat makes even perfume feel like a burden. It is a day scent through and through, best when the sun is high and you have nowhere to be but beneath a tree.
