The fruit feels fresh rather than candied, and the dairy element gives it a smooth texture that prevents the opening from becoming sharp. As the fragrance develops, a gentle smoke rises through the heart, mingling with soft white flowers and the resinous sweetness of benzoin. The smoke is present but never overwhelms the delicate floral aspect, creating a balanced transition where the spice from the saffron lingers beneath the developing resins.
The base introduces nagarmotha, which adds an earthy, woody depth that grounds the earlier sweetness. Musk and amber provide a warm foundation that sits comfortably against the skin, allowing the cherry and milk to remain detectable for a reasonable span without demanding attention from anyone nearby. The lactonic quality persists throughout the wear, tying the top and base together so the fruit never feels disconnected from the woody drydown.
While the composition feels cohesive, the saffron can occasionally read as slightly medicinal against the cherry, creating a brief sharpness that may not appeal to those seeking a purely gourmand experience. The benzoin adds a powdery touch that some may find a little dry next to the cream.
