Cherrynity
Fragrance notes
Character
Cherrynity opens with a tart cherry and mandarin brightness that feels like a brief flash of neon against a dark street. Hawthorn and davana add a slightly wine-like, herbal edge to the fruit, while ginger and saffron provide a warm, metallic sparkle. It is an inviting start, but the real story of this AAMO creation sits in the weight that follows.
The heart quickly shifts toward a textured leather that feels worn and supple, supported by the powdery elegance of iris and the lush, slightly oily softness of olive. Apricot and osmanthus lend a dried-fruit sweetness that keeps the leather from becoming too austere, while nutmeg adds a gentle, kitchen-warm spice. As the fragrance settles, the base takes over with a deep, resonant smoke and the resinous bite of frankincense. Nagarmotha and oakmoss ground the composition with an earthy, forest-floor dampness, while amber and vanilla smooth the edges into a golden, animalic haze. It is a scent that wraps around you like a heavy wool coat in a quiet, lamplit room where the air is cool and the night is long.
Composed by Felix Deschamps, this is a study in contrasts where the initial fruit is eventually swallowed by a smoky, woody darkness that feels both ancient and deeply personal, leaving a trail of incense and moss that lingers in the imagination as the fire dies down and the shadows stretch further across the floor
