The sun has just set over a carved teak pavilion, and a small group sits on cool stone while the air turns heavy. Someone lifts a hand to brush hair from their face, and the movement carries Ris Tanama through the circle. Bright cherry and lime cut the warm evening first, sharp and clear, then orange blossom and jasmine drift in like fabric shaken out near a window. The opening feels alive and immediate, a vivid contrast to the dark wood of the pavilion and the quiet voices around it.
Cambodian oud rises next, smooth and deep, joined by palisander rosewood and sandalwood that ground the brightness without dulling it. A single rose note threads through the woods, soft and present, letting the heart of the fragrance settle into a steady, resinous rhythm. The woods feel polished and real, as though the scent carries the grain of the trees themselves into the night air.
Musk and castoreum shape the base with a distinct animalic warmth, while vanilla and amber add a rounded sweetness that never overwhelms. The blend stays woody and musky at its core, touched by leather and a faint powdery haze. White floral and warm spicy accords linger in the background, supporting the heavier elements without pulling attention away from the woods and the cherry that still glows faintly at the edges.
