Our take

Silkway opens with a bright, almost glossy burst of pear and raspberry, the pink pepper adding a subtle tingle that keeps the fruit from feeling too candied. The bergamot lifts everything into a clean, airy space, like the first breath of spring. Then the heart blooms with orchid and jasmine sambac, but the amber wraps them in a warm, powdery haze, softening any floral sharpness. As it settles, the base turns decidedly lactonic: vanilla and milk create a creamy, almost custard-like sweetness, while musk and a whisper of patchouli keep it grounded. The vetiver is barely there, just enough to prevent total dessert. The overall effect is a silky scarf draped over bare skin, delicate and close-wearing, but one that keeps slipping off your shoulders.

This is a sweet, powdery, mainstream-leaning floral with a synthetic smoothness that feels designed for mass appeal rather than risk. The longevity is modest at three hours, and the sillage is barely a whisper at 2.38 out of five, so you will be the only one enjoying it unless someone leans in for a hug. It suits someone who wants a gentle, comforting scent for daytime errands or a soft office presence, especially in spring or fall. If you crave projection, depth, or a patchouli that bites, skip this. It is a pleasant but fleeting piece of fabric, not a structure.
