Our take

Starlight opens with a bright, almost electric cardamom, the bergamot lending a citrusy fizz that quickly gets swallowed by something darker. Within minutes, the cinnamon and clove come roaring in, not as a kitchen spice rack but as a warm, resinous embrace. The almond adds a creamy, nutty softness that keeps the cinnamon from turning abrasive, and as it settles, the amber and cedar emerge like the glow of a fireplace after the logs have burned down to embers. The overall character is a cashmere blanket draped over a pile of cinnamon bark, cozy but with an edge of smoky depth. It feels distinctly niche, leaning synthetic in the heart where the clove can get a little sharp, but the base smooths it into something almost edible, like a spiced pastry left to cool on a winter windowsill.

The longevity is strong, easily eight hours, but the sillage is moderate, staying close to the skin after the first hour. That is honestly the main weakness, you get the full experience up close but it won’t announce your arrival from across the room. For a cold weather scent, this is a winner. It suits anyone who wants a warm, spicy, slightly gourmand fragrance without tipping into full dessert territory. Skip it if you dislike heavy cinnamon or prefer fresh, aquatic scents. This is for crisp autumn evenings, winter nights by the fire, or a candlelit dinner in late spring when the air still has a chill. Who needs a starry sky when you can wear one?
