Our take

You step into this one expecting a jungle and get a rather polite resort cocktail instead. The opening is a brisk splash of lime and mint over salted green tea, that sea salt note cutting through with an almost marine sharpness. It feels fizzy and immediate, like a cold drink handed to you as you arrive. Then the tiare flower and ylang ylang creep in, turning the citrusy spark into something waxy and sweet, propped up by a soft bed of vanilla and patchouli. The dry down settles into a polite woody vanilla with a faint whisper of spices and Virginia cedar, but that initial green energy mostly evaporates within an hour.

The overall character is a sunlit postcard of a jungle, the kind you buy at an airport gift shop, not the actual sweat-soaked undergrowth. It is undeniably pleasant, in that safe, synthetic-sweet niche way where every note feels buffed and rounded off, no thorns, no dirt. The trouble is the performance. With longevity just over three hours and sillage that hugs the skin after thirty minutes, this is a perfume for people who reapply as a ritual, not those who need a scent to last a long lunch. It suits anyone who wants an easy, fruity floral for a hot spring morning, a beachside brunch, or a day spent reading in dappled shade. Skip it if you crave presence, depth, or any sense of actual wilderness. This jungle is more of a well-trimmed garden path, lovely while it lasts, but too soon forgotten.
