Saffron and cardamom add a subtle warmth, but the elemi resin and Virginia cedar keep everything airy and resinous rather than syrupy. It dries down to a faintly spicy, woody ghost, like the inside of an antique writing desk that once held saffron bundles.
This is not a loud oud. The longevity clocks in at barely three hours, and the sillage is a modest two-point-six, meaning you will be the only one enjoying it most of the time. It feels natural and slightly melancholic, a niche composition that prioritizes restraint over impact.
