Volpe Next
Fragrance notes
Character
Volpe Next opens with a sharp, almost medicinal bite that can catch you off guard. The tonic water and turmeric combine into a fizzy, bitter edge that feels less like a polished citrus and more like a drink you ordered on a whim and immediately regretted. It is a rough start that demands patience from the person wearing it.
Standing on a concrete balcony as the evening air turns cool, you feel the mandarin orange and lavender soften that initial harshness. The scent begins to settle into something calmer, with violet leaf adding a green, slightly wet texture that matches the damp chill of the city night around you.
Cedar and amber rise from the skin as the night deepens, creating a warm, resinous shield against the cold. The patchouli and labdanum ground the fragrance, moving it away from the bright opening and into a woody, earthy space that feels heavy and serious against the dark sky.
That opening roughness remains the price of admission for the atmosphere that follows. Volpe Next requires you to wait out a difficult first few minutes before the scent earns its place in your evening rotation. The initial sharpness is a hurdle that never quite vanishes.
